Evolving out of the Hitmakers, the Danish band Floor made one pop-psychedelic album in 1967, 1st Floor. While it's very much indebted to poppier side of British psychedelia, it's a diverse record with some strong material, incorporating ornate, classical-influenced arrangements, singalong Brit-pop melodies, and cheerful pop/rock harmonies. There are strong shades of records from the era by the likes of the Beatles, the Kinks, and the Left Banke, though Floor weren't nearly as original as any of those bands. ~ Richie Unterberger, All Music Guide
