Plot

Louise Lovely stars in The Gilded Spider. The lovely Ms. Lovely plays a European dancing girl, driven to suicide by a callous American millionaire (Gilmore Hammond). Years later, the dancer's daughter (also played by Lovely) comes to America to seek vengeance. The girl is accompanied by her taciturn Italian father, played by Lon Chaney with a modicum of makeup. The millionaire receives his comeuppance, but the strain of the situation also proves fatal for the girl's father.
