Plot
Holly Gagnier, who in 1980 was a soap-opera veteran at the tender age of 18, is cast as the 16-year-old heroine of this ABC Afterschool Special. Gagnier plays a high-school gymnast who has dreamed all her life of being a champion in her field. When the opportunity arises, she embarks upon a grueling and sometimes frustrating training program. The question: Is talent alone enough to be a champion, or does one need that special something extra? ~ RoviCast
