"The Hubbert Peak" is episode 115 of The West Wing.
Plot
Josh crashes a Ford Excursion SUV into a hybrid Toyota Prius, causing a public relations disaster, given that later he has to meet with alternative energy supporters who berate the White House for doing too little to beef up laws in this area, including raising fuel emissions standards; Josh points out that they have had seven years of a hostile Congress. The President says they need to keep having meetings in the face of growing demands for energy outside of the oil arena.
Annabeth attempts to improve Toby's briefing abilities after he is hostile and unprofessional during an initial briefing. After he gives a very strong briefing on Josh's alternative energy meetings, Annabeth says that what he just did is how he can do the job consistently: being smart and funny because he's not the movie-star type. She relates that she talked to his beautiful ex-wife and that's how he got her to marry him, though she amusingly notes that living with him "is another matter". C.J. visits Leo, who wants her to make sure the President plays chess each week. She isn't sure why until he explains that the chess games are used to see how the President's mental functions are maintaining in the face of his progressing MS. Will wants Kate Harper to begin briefing the Vice President on foreign affairs and national security, and Charlie begins passing out resumes.
