Plot

Vainglorious George Jefferson (Sherman Hemsley) is worried that he has nothing to leave for posterity. Thus it is that George hires an artist to sculpt his bust. Taking this "immortalization" process one step farther, George invites all his friends and family (except for Mother Jefferson, due to the illness of actress Zara Cully) for the grand unveiling of the bust -- and the results are anything but laudatory for our hero. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
