Plot

Georgia Engel, the series' newest regular, is the center of attention in this episode. Engel, of course, plays Georgette, the soft-spoken girlfriend of bombastic newscaster Ted Baxter (Ted Knight). When it becomes obvious that thickheaded Ted is taking advantage of Georgette, Mary (Mary Tyler Moore) and Rhoda (Valerie Harper) urge the girl to become more assertive. As a result, Ted and Mary end up waging a war of words and wills -- and neither side is about to back down.
