In the film, Spears plays an ordinary quiet man named Jim Mitchell, who seems very shy around women. He goes to a massage parlor where Lee is a masseuse who gives Spears a slow handjob. He falls in love with her, even though the only relationship between them is purely sexual and purely professional, with Lee's character needing the extra money from the tips Jim leaves.
The relationship ends though after he follows her home, and she gets upset and tells him, firmly but with sensitivity, to leave. It is later hinted Jim may have finally found a way to relate to women and may even have found a new co-worker girlfriend.
Awards
The film won 3 times at the 1991 AVN Awards; a Best Actor Award for Spears, Best Actress for Lee and Best Screenplay - Film. [1]
The remake by Vivid Entertainment won Best Film at the 2005 AVN Awards, and 'Top Renting Release of the Year' at the 2006 AVN Awards [2]
