Milesian Chief, The (1812), a novel by Charles Robert Maturin. Set in the west of Ireland at the turn of the century, it tells the story of Connal O'Morven, the grandson of an Irish chieftain who has been dispossessed by the English Lord Montclare, and now lives in servitude on the edge of his former lands.
