The Musical Times, often abbreviated to MT, is a classical music journal edited and produced in the United Kingdom. It is currently the oldest such journal that is still publishing in the UK, having been published continuously since 1844. It was published as The Musical Times and Singing Class Circular until the title was shortened in 1903.[1] The journal originally appeared monthly but is now a quarterly publication. Past editors include Stanley Sadie (1967–1987) and Eric Wen.
