Biography

From Derby, England, the Rattlers are a folk and roots-based rock quintet lead by electric guitar player John Adams and fiddler Sarah Matthews. Their debut album Pleasures in Misadventure (1995) and it's follow-up Weightless (1997) were released by Pagan Media. While both albums leaned toward the alternative rock side of the musical spectrum, Pleasures in Misadventure was more noticeably influenced by contemporary British folk like Richard Thompson and Oysterband while Weightless favored a more basic rock approach. ~ Dave Sleger, All Music Guide
