This is a four-CD boxed set released to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the opening of Rodgers & Hammerstein's first Broadway show, Oklahoma! It contains the original cast albums of Oklahoma!, Carousel, and The King And I, as well as an album called The Rodgers & Hammerstein Collection, featuring various artists ranging from Rosemary Clooney to Sylvia Sims singing Rodgers & Hammerstein favorites. The last is dispensable, but the three cast albums are landmarks of the music business of the '40s and '50s, as well as the Broadway theater.
