Shadow of a Gunman, The (1923), a play by Sean O'Casey, set in a Dublin tenement in May 1920 during the Anglo-Irish War. Donal Davoren considers himself a poet, but also enjoys being taken for an IRA gunman on the run, with tragic consequences, including the death of Minnie Powell.
