Review

Subtitled "A Compilation of Extraordinary Acoustic Guitar Music," The Six String draws on the Mesa label's catalog for its concentration on world fusion jazz. There are African, Asian, and Latin American influences all over the disc, some more authentic-sounding, others smoother and more polished, but most of the artists turn in compelling music either way.
