As part of the Standard Deviants teaching video series, this video is designed to teach the basics of HTML or hyper text mark-up language. This computer language is the language used by webmasters to design their webpages. Using humorous skits and graphics, the viewer is shown the structure of the World Wide Web, how information travels through it, what hypertext is, how File Transfer Protocol (FTP) programs work and the actual HTML language. The lessons are co-written by industry leaders and HTML experts. Though the lessons move fast and cover a great deal of ground, the ability to pause and rewind will allow the viewer to absorb the information rather easily. The Standard Deviants series also offers Standard Deviants Tech Series: Internet Basics, a primer on how the Internet and the World Wide Web function. ~ Ed Atkinson, All Movie Guide
