Plot

Transformers' third season came to a close with the two-part adventure "The Return of Optimus Prime." As indicated by the title, the presumed-dead Prime is again revived when his body is brought back to earth. Unfortunately, one of the scientists working to bring Prime back to life has a sinister hidden agenda. Infecting the Autobots with disease spores, the scientist creates a race of Transformer plague carriers, capable of destroying man and machine alike.
