The Troubadour

  • Release Year: 1910

Plot

The Troubadour was the second of four Pathe films released in rapid succession during the first week of April, 1910. In love with a miller's daughter, a troubador is denied an audience with the girl by her snobbish parents. Coming to the lovers' aid is a forest fairy, who casts a magic spell over the social-climbing mom and pop. Their minds suddenly changed, the parents willingly give their blessings to the marriage of hero and heroine. The Troubadour was color-tinted frame by frame, as was customary in the Pathe product of the time. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
