The Turbo A.C.'s are a New York based punk rock band. The band's sound led to comparisons with the likes of New Bomb Turks and The Supersuckers.[1]

In 1996 the band put out their first full length album Damnation Overdrive on New York based hardcore label Blackout Records. This was followed on releases on Cacophone, Nitro Records and most recently Gearhead Records. The band's catalogue features a number of punk personalities producing, including Agnostic Front's Roger Miret and the Dwarves' Blag Dahlia.[2]
Their band name is a reference to the fictional Turnbull A.C.'s, a gang featured briefly in the 1979 cult classic The Warriors by Walter Hill
The band has spent considerable time touring in Europe behind releases on Germany's Blitzcore Records label.[3]
Founding member Mike Dolan left the band in 2005 to start a hard rock/stoner combo in the vein of The Hellacopters and Motorhead called, The FTW's www.myspace.com/theftws
