Unicorn, The (1963), a novel by Iris Murdoch. Marian Taylor, appointed governess at a big house in the west of Ireland, finds herself companion to Hannah Crean-Smith, kept prisoner after attempting to kill her husband seven years previously.

The Unicorn is the second album by Irish folk music group The Irish Rovers.
The title track The Unicorn, a recording of Shel Silverstein's poem, reached #7 in the U.S.; and, despite having virtually nothing to do with Ireland nor Irish culture, is popular in Irish pubs all over Ireland to this day.
