Ten of Yvonne Elliman's best, sized just right for casual fans of the exotic songbird whose beauty rivals her singing ability. With the exception of "Hello Stranger," an inferior yet competent rendition of Barbara Lewis' classic, most of the songs owe more to pop/rock than R&B/soul; this is a good thing because the former is Elliman's element. She's absolutely stunning on "Everything's Alright" and makes the Who's "I Can't Explain" palatable for non-rockers. The Bee Gees pushed the right buttons with Elliman, as is evident on "Love Me" and "If I Can't Have You." The soft, flowing "Hello Stranger" blends well here among Elliman's more strident efforts. ~ Andrew Hamilton, All Music Guide
