Plot

A Chinese freighter pulls into L.A. carrying a most unusual cargo: a dog that is believed to be the last of an extinct Asian species. But when the crate holding the dog arrives, it is open, the animal has disappeared -- and in its place are the dead bodies of two crew members. Investigating this curious turn of events, Mulder and Scully make the acquaintance of oddly guarded animal behavior expert Karen Berquist (Melinda Culea).
