Mulder and Scully travel to a Montana Indian reservation to investigate the shooting death of a Native American. While Scully conducts a traditional investigation, Mulder seeks out a paranormal explanation for the Indian's death -- and in so doing unearths the oldest X-File on record, pertaining to a "mythical" evil spirit known as a Manitou. Written by Marilyn Osborne, "Shapes" first aired April 1, 1994. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
