There is a Time

Modern dance in one act with choreography by Limón, music by Dello Joio, and costumes by P. Lawrence. Premiered 20 Apr. 1956 by the José Limón Dance Company at the Juilliard Concert Hall, New York, with Limón, Koner, Currier, B. Jones, L. Nielsen, and Hoving. The ballet is based on the passage from Ecclesiastes: ‘To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.’
