Biography

With the members of These 5 Down putting behind their excess lifestyle of sex, drugs and felony charges behind them, the message of sobriety and God comes before the music. But with their fuel of metallic hardcore to enforce their Christian straight-edge message, Andy Hittle (drums), Brandon Whitlock (guitar), Nathan Bauman (guitar), Justin Bauman (vocals) and Rob Brunell (bass) signed on to Absolute Records. These Five Down is a Christian metal band from Michigan made up of five Christians who turned (or returned) to their faith for salvation from previous dangerous lifestyles and aim to preach faith through hardcore music. They are signed to Absolute Records and have released two albums which have spawned four top 10 Christian Metal radio hits, including three #1's.[citation needed] Progressive Airplay Journal hailed the band as "Breakout Artist of 2000" .
