San Diego quintet Thickliquid (Bruce Donally, Mitch Williams, Eric Blaine Reno, Andrew Abdov, and Chris Swann) combine the melodic content of such anthemic '80s hard rockers as Mötley Crüe and W.A.S.P. along with the dense and hard-hitting guitar riffs of such thrash metallists as Megadeth and Testament.
