Plot

The British "mockumentary" series This Is David Harper was a carbon copy of the 1988 comedy weekly This Is David Lander. Both series revolved around a gonzo investigative reporter who invariably acted before he thought things out -- and as a result was forever being beaten up or chased down by his flustered interview subjects. Tony Slattery starred as David Harper, replacing the previous series' David Lander (Stephen Fry).
