Review

This Will Be: Natalie Cole's Everlasting Love finds Cole continuing her trawl through traditional pop standards. This time, the production has a slight contemporary bent, and she decides to expand her reach to the Beatles' "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds," but the heart of the album remains with songs like "Sophisticated Lady" and "Inseparable." Cole's phrasing and singing is improving with each of these songbook albums, yet This Will Be simply isn't as fresh and engaging as the first of these excursions, Unforgettable. Still, fans of that record will find this nearly as entertaining. ~ Rodney Batdorf, Rovi
