In 1987 Bishop released a debut album of his own, Restless State of Grace, recorded under the Profile Records label. The album showcases tunes like "Until My Heart Finds Out," "Now That I'm Naked," "Daughter Divine," and "Where It Goes When It's Gone." It was nearly ten full years before Bishop finished a second album. Feed Me a Dream was released by Coyote Records in 1996.
