Thomas Assyrian: ܬܐܘܡܐ, Toma; is a common given name for males. It originated from the Aramaic language designation תום or Tôm.Thomas also has many origins in Wales. The meaning of the name is "twin," and in the New Testament the designation was applied to Judas Thomas, the second Judas of the Apostles, hence the meaning "twin".[1]
