Thomson Healthcare was one of the five operating divisions of the Thomson Corporation unitl 2008. Following the merger[1] of Thomson with Reuters to form Thomson Reuters in 2008, it became the healthcare business unit of the new company.

In 2009, it merged with Thomson Scientific to form the Healthcare & Science unit of the Professional Division of Thomson Reuters; the other units include Legal and Tax & Accounting.

Legacy brands include Medstat, MercuryMD, Micromedex, and Solucient.[2]

Thomson Reuters has its headquarters in New York and major operations in London and Eagan, Minnesota. It employs more than 50,000 people in 93 countries.[3]
