Biography
Tia Knight learned her love of piano from her grandmother, Star, and began playing piano at age 17, then switched to keyboards at 21. She is self taught on both instruments. Although she performed in a band for two years, she finds that "solo works best for me," so she is now pursuing her individual performing career.She was inspired to develop her Medieval-themed ambient music by the music of Stevie Nicks, and also enjoys the works of Enya and Enigma.
Knight opened her own label, Blackwood Manor Music, in 1999, the same year she recorded her debut album, Blackwood. ~ Murrday Fisher, All Music Guide
