Tibetan Bells III: The Empty Mirror

Album Review: Tibetan Bells III: The Empty Mirror

Review

Henry Wolff and Nancy Hennings are the pioneers of Tibetan bowl and bell recordings. Dating all the way back to 1972, they have been on a journey -- or cycle -- of massive sound healing proportions. Tibetan Bells II: The Empty Mirror is a set of psychoactive vibrations from this duo that Brian Keane produced. The aggressive styles of Wolff and Hennings take this disc to a new level. Very few discs of this style have dynamic textures and timbres like this. It is among the strongest discs of the genre. It will appeal to fans of Jim Cole, Xumantra, Klaus Wiese, Life in Balance, and Crystal Voices. ~ Jim Brenholts, All Music Guide
