A trip-hop producer who also appears influenced by the smarmier side of Italian soft-porn soundtracks and the singles-bar scene, Tim "Love" Lee formed his own Peace Feast and Tummy Touch labels in 1996 to release tracks by Groove Armada, Waxploitation and his own name. Singles like "Again Son," "Ruffbut" and "Nu Pholk Sound" treated trip-hop with an earthy edge. "Badder Bongo" was the trailer for his first LP, Confessions of a Selector, which was released in Britain in 1998. An American release through Silent followed later that year, with Call Me "Lone" Lee appearing in the spring of 2000 and Continuing Confessions Of later that fall. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
