Review

Jamie Lexton's debut album as Kid Loops walks that uncomfortable line between intelligent drum'n'bass and coffee-table fare that sounds pleasant enough to passing listeners but doesn't really push the envelope. Besides the vocoderized vocals on his Eric B. & Rakim homage "The Microphone Fiend" and some tweaked scratching on "Wicked Loops," Time Quake is an album of fits and starts, solid but lacking real innovation. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
