Timothy James Murphy (born 20 August 1974 in County Kildare, Ireland),[1] commonly known as Timmy Murphy, is a National Hunt jockey who overcame difficult personal problems[2] to win the 2008 John Smith's Grand National at Aintree Racecourse[3] on the horse Comply or Die.[4]
