Biography
Although Timmy T's brief career failed to yield much of a legacy, he nevertheless enjoyed several months of popularity in 1991, when he scored a chart-topping hit with "One More Try." The freestyle ballad went platinum by April, making Timmy T (born Timothy Torres in Fresno, CA) one of the only popular freestyle artists outside of the genre's headquarters in Miami and New York. After releasing two albums, 1990's Time After Time and 1992's All for Love, Timmy T retreated from the spotlight to raise a family. ~ Andrew Leahey, All Music Guide
