Todd McFarlane Productions (TMP) has spawned a comic book empire. TMP is the comic publishing firm of Spawn creator Todd McFarlane. After cutting his teeth as an artist for Marvel's Spider-Man, McFarlane left that company (taking several artists with him) and helped found Image Comics. (TMP is an autonomous unit within Image, providing the firm with publishing, marketing, and distribution services). In addition to Spawn, which is distributed in nine languages to some 30 countries, TMP also publishes the ghostly comic Haunt. Archived series include Spawn spinoff Hellspawn and the crime noir Sam & Twitch. McFarlane owns separate firms engaged in the toy business, film and video production, and graphic design.
