Tom Butler-Bowdon (8 November 1967 in Adelaide, Australia) is a non-fiction author based in Oxford, England, most notable for the 50 Classics series of books, which provide commentaries on key writings in the personal development field.
The series is published in English by Nicholas Brealey Publishing[1], and has been translated into 21 languages.
Butler-Bowdon has been described as "a true scholar of this type of literature"[2]. He provided an article on 'Self-help books' for Encarta Encyclopedia[3], and his 50 Self-Help Classics won the 2004 Benjamin Franklin Award (US) for the Psychology/Self-Help category[4].
He is a graduate of the University of Sydney and the London School of Economics.
