Thomas Carter, III (born September 5, 1972 in St. Petersburg, Florida) is a former American football cornerback who played in the National Football League from 1993–2001. He played for the Washington Redskins, Chicago Bears, and Cincinnati Bengals. Carter played quarterback at Lakewood High School in St. Petersburg, Florida and accepted a scholarship to play college football at the University of Notre Dame where he was a three year starter at the free safety position.
