Tommy Barnett is pastor of one of the fastest growing churches in the United States, Phoenix First Assembly of God in Phoenix, Arizona. The church is known as "the church with a heart" because of its over 200 outreach ministries. Phoenix First Assembly boasts an average weekly attendance of over 15,000 worshipers.

Pastor Barnett began his ministry at age sixteen. He preached in city-wide meetings, camps, churches, seminars, and to as many as 30,000 in an outdoor meeting in India. Pastor Barnett celebrated 50 years in ministry in 2003. The minister grew up in the home of an Assemblies of God minister (H. W. Barnett).

Pastor Barnett is married to his wife Marja. He has three children: Matthew, Luke, and Kristie.

Tommy Barnett has received honorary doctorates from Oral Roberts University (Tulsa, Oklahoma), Southern California Theological Seminary (Stanton, California), and Southwestern Assemblies of God University (Waxahachie, Texas). In 1999, the Religious Heritage of America Foundation conferred him Brotherhood of Man Award.
