Biography

Tommy Brown was part of the extended family of hit artist Bobby Brown. He snapped his fingers on the Don't Be Cruel album, and presumably used them to dial phones and much more in his various roles as production co-ordinator and executive producer on at least a dozen recordings. Brother Bobby Brown put him to work on his side production products. He got to sing on the 2000 Love Life by sibling rival Bernadette Brown, but this effort was smushed by the critics. By 2002, Tommy Brown had gone out on his own to produce vocalist Sharissa, and was thoroughly enough involved in the recording process to score a producer's credit. He should not be confused with the Christian music bassist, producer, arranger and composer Tommy Brown. ~ Eugene Chadbourne, All Music Guide
