Biography
Not a true band, the Toms was actually the solo project of singer/songwriter Tom Marolda, a firm believer in D.I.Y. principles who played all of the instruments on his 1979 self-titled debut effort. The album was the group's lone recording, and as a result of distribution problems, it became a much sought-after cult object as the years passed; finally, in 1997, the Not Lame label reissued The Toms for mass consumption, complete with seven unreleased tracks. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
