Biography

German-Libanese rapper Tony D, also known as Tony Damage (he was born Muhamed Ayad in Berlin, Germany), is part of the Aggro Berlin group. Growing up in Berlin-Kreuzberg, his interest in rap music developed when he heard mix tapes by Cypress Hill and Ice Cube at the age of 10. Several years later, he became part of Berlin Crime under the alias "Drell One". He then befriended rappers Sido and B-Tight and joined the hip-hop group Die Sekte. Several guest spots and solo tracks on albums by Bassboxxx, Die Sekte, MOK, Sido, Fler and B-Tight (on his album Neger Neger) followed. Tony D was signed to Aggro Berlin in 2005, where he released his first solo album Totalschaden in 2007. The album reached #1 in the Urban TRL charts. ~ Christian Genzel, All Music Guide
