Temporary or permanent deviation of a tooth from its normally fixed position in the dental arch. Also, mobility of teeth. When teeth exhibit mobility patterns, movement may be buccolingual, mesiodistal, occlusoapical, or rotational. Movement of teeth into different positions in the dental arch may be produced by repositioning them mesially, distally, buccally, lingually, or occlusally.
