The Toyota Echo is a model name previously used by the Toyota Motor Corporation on the export version of two different models.
The Echo is a compact, entry-level model that is perhaps most popular for its fuel efficiency. Introduced in 1999 and discontinued in 2005, the Echo along with its successor uses an engine (1.5L) similar to the one that powered the "Tercel."

- The first generation Toyota Vitz (1999 - 2005) sold as the Toyota Echo in Australia, Hong Kong, several other Asian markets, and also in Canada from 2004 to 2005 as the Toyota Echo hatchback. It is now sold in all these markets as the "Yaris."
