A Travel card is a ticket usable on more than one journey, route or mode of public transport within a specific area using bulk or discounted payment; some schemes only cover travel by disabled or elderly people. Their validity is generally for a fixed period from the time of issue to the end of the day or for longer periods up to one year.

Travel card schemes for general public use are currently operated in the UK in a number of areas including:
- Greater London (Travelcard and Oyster Card [1])
- Cheshire (Chester Travelcard)
- the West Midlands (Centrocard)
- South Hampshire (Solent Travelcard)
- Sussex (Downlander)
- Strathclyde (ZoneCard)
- Greater Manchester (System One Travelcards)
Travel card schemes are often supplemented or replaced by stored value cards.
- Spain
In Spain a travel card is used in the city of Bilbao, it's called Creditrans.
