Having gotten together in 1996 upon the formation of Rusty Cavender (guitar/vocals), Chris Muench (guitar), Andrew Reizuch (bass) and Matt Howze (drums), Treadwell brought on their chaotic abrasives to their native Long Beach, California. In comparable to the likes of Drive Like Jehu, The Swing Kids and Clickitat Ikatowi, Treadwell would eventually have the chance to play with noisemakers Jenny Piccolo, Ink & Dagger, The Locust and Spazz amongst others. Their first EP Bomb Diffusion was released on The Wordsmith Covenant in 1997, followed by the replacement of guitarist Chris Muench with George Navarro. Two years later, Treadwell's second EP Bomb Diffusion was released with the assistance of Status Recordings. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
