Biography

Gaining notice for his bullying role opposite Haley Joel Osment in the massively popular 1999 supernatural sleeper hit The Sixth Sense, Trevor Morgan has quickly risen through the ranks to appear in some of Hollywood's biggest blockbusters.

Born in Chicago, IL, in November 1986, Morgan found his calling early in life when, at the age of six, he told his parents that he wanted to become an actor. Soon after his family relocated to California in order to pursue his youthful dreams, young Morgan began to win roles in television commercials and in such popular series as Baywatch and Touched By an Angel in 1997. Making his feature debut in Family Man the same year, he began to realize his dreams, taking roles in Barney's Big Adventure and the made-for-television In the Doghouse the year before his role in The Sixth Sense gained him positive notice and widespread recognition. Nominated for Best Performance in TV Movie or Pilot at the Young Artist Awards for his turn as a child genius leading a double life in Disney's Genius the same year, Morgan appeared again alongside Osment in I'll Remember April (1999) before turning up as Mel Gibson's son in The Patriot in 2000. Soon after, Morgan would have his biggest adventure yet, facing off against dinosaurs in Jurassic Park III (2001). ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Biography

Early life

Morgan was born in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Lisa Morgan and Joseph Borrasso, a commodities trader.[1] He has two half-brothers, Joe and Matt, and a half sister, Jennifer. His family moved to Orange County, California so Trevor could pursue an acting career.

Career

Morgan was discovered by George Papadakis, a commercial photographer, at 5 yrs. old. Papadakis set up an appointment with a talent agency & casting director saw him and asked his mother if she would be interested in taking him to an audition. He then appeared in several commercials for McDonald's and Cheerios and even was featured on a Life cereal box. He got his first break as Alec Mackenzie in the feature film The Family Plan, which led him to appear in Barney's Great Adventure. Morgan was given the lead role of Duke Cooper in I'll Remember April. His co-star Haley Joel Osment was given the lead role of Cole Sear in The Sixth Sense, where, in a dramatic reversal, Morgan played Cole's nemesis, a pretentious young actor.

After the success of The Sixth Sense, I'll Remember April was rushed to video due to Osment's role as Pee Wee Clayton. Morgan's picture was replaced by Osment's on the box for marketing purposes. Actor/director Mel Gibson, who was looking for several child actors to play his seven children in The Patriot, saw Morgan and asked him to audition for the movie. He landed the role, playing son Nathan Martin.

Morgan appeared in the films Jurassic Park III and The Glass House (2001). Among his other credits are Empire Falls as a menacing jock, the independent films Mean Creek, Off the Black and Local Color, and the baseball flick Chasing 3000. Morgan appeared on the television series, ER, where he played cancer victim Scotty Anspaugh for five episodes. For this role he garnered a 1998 SAG Award along with the main cast members of the show. His additional television credits include Genius for Disney Telefilms, In the Dog House for Viacom/Showtime, Touched by an Angel for CBS, Fire Co. 132 for 20th Century Fox and Missing Persons for ABC.

Personal life

Morgan is a pollo-vegetarian, meaning that chicken is the only meat he eats. He loves music and plays the guitar. He enjoys many sports including basketball, baseball, and ice hockey. He is a republican.
