Trevor Von Eeden is a comic book artist known for co-creating and drawing Black Lightning, the first original African-American superhero in DC Comics history — and the first to have his own title.
Other titles he has worked on include Power Man and Iron Fist, Thriller, Black Canary, Green Arrow and Batman
In the mid-1980s he also did work on a four-issue Green Arrow mini-series (inked by Dick Giordano). In 2001, Von Eeden drew the five-issue storyline "Grimm" that appeared issues #149-153 of DC Comics' Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight. He has also illustrated a short series called Joe In The Future for Heavy Metal magazine, and wrote and drew a 240-page graphic novel biography of boxer Jack Johnson.
He is currently writing the series The Original Johnson for ComicMix.
