Tribonian

Tribonian (Tribonianus) (trĭbō'nēən), d. 545?, Roman jurist. Under the command of Justinian I, he directed the compilation of the Corpus Juris Civilis. It is not possible to determine exactly what Tribonian himself contributed; in all likelihood he wrote largely from his encyclopedic knowledge of Roman law.
