Triptych

Album Review: Triptych

Review

A triptych is a painting that has three distinct scenes and themes which can be viewed individually or in any number of combinations. A deep atmospheric offering from Ian Boddy, Markus Reuter, and Nigel Mullaney, Triptych is a smooth concoction from these diverse talents. Boddy creates the deep sequences; Reuter's processed touch guitar creates the billowing atmospheres; and Mullaney's subtle rhythms drive the soundscapes. All three are expert sound designers and producers and the compositions have strong psychoactive properties -- deep listeners will see and feel the fog as it surrounds them. This is an essential CD. It will appeal to fans of Ron Boots, Hemisphere, and Rudy Adrian. ~ Jim Brenholts, All Music Guide
